| After emerging from the Yuba River gorge and its side canyons, I walked through the Grouse Ridge/Black Buttes area. This is Glacier Lake, at the end of Glacier Lake Trail and a popular destination for hikers who enjoy camping on a big flat spot on the north shore from which this picture was taken. I often come here on my weekend hikes, but I usually continue cross-country to the more remote spots awaiting those who keep going when the trail has ended. |
